Indians in Shock After Top Military Official Admits Pakistan Shot Down Their Fighter Jets

A major political controversy has started in India after General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, admitted that Indian fighter jets were lost during a recent military clash with Pakistan. This was the first time India has publicly accepted these losses. General Chauhan made the statement while speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

The Congress Party strongly reacted to this revelation, accusing Prime Minister Modi’s government of hiding the truth from the public.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took to social media platform X, demanding a special session of Parliament to discuss this serious issue. He said the people of India deserve honest answers and that the government must be held accountable.

General Chauhan explained that the mistakes made during the clash were quickly identified and corrected.

He stressed that the real problem was with tactical planning, and once those errors were fixed, the situation was brought under control. He also assured the public that the four-day conflict never came close to involving nuclear weapons, despite earlier fears.

The Congress Party’s demand for a parliamentary debate highlights growing pressure on the government to explain how the situation was handled. Citizens and political leaders are now calling for more transparency in military matters, especially those involving national security.

This rare public admission has created ripples across the political and defence landscape in India. With Parliament expected to take up the issue soon, all eyes are now on how the government will respond to these serious allegations and concerns.
