India’s 15-Member Squad for World Cup 2023 Announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the squad for 2023. In significant news, KL Rahul has been included in the group and is fit to participate, which is important as they prepare for their World Cup opener against Australia in Chennai on October 8.

Captain Rohit Sharma will lead the batting lineup, which includes Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan, who also provides a wicket-keeping option.

The team has a strong emphasis on batting options, with all-rounders like Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Shardul Thakur also in the squad.

Jasprit Bumrah, who showed no signs of injury upon his return, leads the bowling group, with Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj likely to be the first-choice pace bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav is the team’s primary spin option.
