India’s Chandrayaan-3 Successful Landing Makes YouTube History as Most-Watched Livestream

India has reached a special milestone by safely landing Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s surface. This makes India the first country to land on the moon’s south pole.

During the landing, over 3.6 million people watched the event on YouTube, which set a new record for the most-watched livestream on the platform. The livestream was on the official YouTube channel of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

After the challenges faced during the Chandrayaan-2 mission in 2019, ISRO’s success with Chandrayaan-3 is a big achievement. The spacecraft landing on the moon’s south pole means India is now the fourth country to achieve this.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his happiness and congratulated everyone involved in this accomplishment. During the landing, PM Modi waved the Indian flag, and ISRO Chief S Somnath shared the good news of the successful landing.

Chandrayaan-3’s Project Director, P Veeramuthuvel, said it was a moment of great satisfaction. PM Modi emphasized how important this achievement is for India in space exploration. This achievement is happening in a year when India is leading the G20, and PM Modi’s message of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” has been shared globally.
