India’s Largest Airline Indigo Refunds over Rs. 2.8 Billion Due to Flight Cancellation

IndiGo has refunded more than $10 million to passengers affected by recent flight cancellations as the airline works to return to full operations. The refunds cover cases that have been processed so far, and remaining requests will continue to be handled until December 15.

The airline has been gradually restoring its schedule. On December 8, IndiGo operated over 1,800 flights, and its on-time performance improved to 91%, up from about 75% the previous day. This shows that the airline is recovering steadily and returning to normal service for travelers.

To help passengers affected by delays and cancellations, IndiGo arranged hotels and transport for those stranded and ensured that thousands of delayed bags were returned. The airline has also been in close contact with its customers to provide updates and support during this period.

IndiGo issued a public apology, acknowledging the inconvenience caused to passengers. The airline encouraged travelers to check flight updates on its official website or app and submit refund requests through the proper channels.

These measures are part of IndiGo’s efforts to make the travel experience smoother and restore customer trust after the disruptions.

Serving over 200,000 passengers daily, IndiGo is focused on improving its operations and making sure flights run on time. The airline’s recent steps, including refunds and passenger support, highlight its commitment to customer service and operational recovery.

As IndiGo continues to stabilize its schedule, passengers are advised to stay updated with flight information and reach out to the airline for any assistance. These efforts aim to ensure that travelers experience minimal disruption and regain confidence in the airline’s services.
