Instagram Lite was in a testing phase by Facebook for some time; however, now finally Facebook has made the official application.
This new application is less data-intensive as well as uses lesser phone resources as to appeal to users through the low-end devices like the ones who live in the regions that have weak connectivity.
This new app is availed in just 2MB of size and a lot of “ornate, data-rich” animations and other heavy features were cut off. The developers of Instagram has also removed the heavy AR filters along with the cube transitions, and only left with GIFs and the stickers that also can only be applied to the Stories of users.
Instagram Lite application is available on Google Play Store and it is in more than around 170 countries of the world.
Moreover, anyone can download it and it can be used by the people as not worrying for network or the device that they have. However, Facebook has also promised a rollout for almost all the countries as well as the regions soon.
