Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Launches Online Women Police Station

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken an important step to improve public safety by launching an online women’s police station and the 1Info mobile app at the Islamabad Safe City Headquarters.

This new mobile app, 1Info, allows citizens to quickly file emergency complaints and reach help when needed. The women’s police helpline, 1815, has also been made stronger, with trained female staff ready to assist women and handle their cases with care and privacy.

During the launch, Minister Naqvi praised Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ali Nasir Rizvi for his efforts in making this project possible. He highlighted that digital services like these are very important for helping women and other vulnerable groups in society.

The minister said there is still work to be done to make these platforms even better and more helpful for the public. He also spoke about using modern technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Safe City system to make it more effective and smarter. He shared plans to install more surveillance cameras to cover larger areas, which will help prevent crime and solve cases faster.

The Safe City project has already helped the police in solving major cases, including the well-known Faheem Sardar case. With these new online services and improved systems, people in Islamabad can expect better support and quicker response in emergency situations.

Minister Naqvi urged the public to use these new tools and promised that the government will keep working on making cities safer for everyone, especially women and children.
