Interloop factory in Kasur is one of the world’s seven greenest buildings

A building in Kasur, a city south of Lahore, ranks seventh among the world’s greenest buildings, adding to the dream of a green Pakistan. The Interloop building is 574,229 square feet long and has specialised rainwater harvesting pits to recycle groundwater.

The Interloop factory in Kasur has been named one of the world’s seven most environmentally friendly buildings by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) under its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green rating system.

With nearly 3,000 trees, nearly 30 percent of the area is dedicated to green space. The building has an enthralling view with lush greenery all over it that pleases the viewers’ eyes. The Interloop building, as the seventh greenest structure, serves as a model for other industrial structures.
