Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has thanked Pakistan for hosting and facilitating talks with the United States, describing the discussions as intense and continuous.
In a statement, Baqaei said the Iranian delegation in Islamabad had a long and challenging day. He explained that the talks started on Saturday morning and continued without any breaks for many hours. According to him, both sides stayed engaged throughout the process.
He also shared that multiple messages and proposals were exchanged between Iran and the United States during the discussions. These exchanges were part of efforts to find common ground and reduce tensions between the two countries.
Baqaei added that Iranian negotiators are using all their experience and available resources to protect the country’s rights and national interests. He emphasized that the team remained focused and committed during the talks.
Talking about recent events, he mentioned that the losses faced by Iran have made the country more determined. He said these sacrifices have strengthened Iran’s resolve to continue working toward its national goals with firmness.
The spokesperson highlighted that such discussions are important, even if they are difficult, as they help keep communication open between both sides.
