According to Iran’s Consul General Mohammad Reza Nazeri, improving business-to-business links between Pakistan and Iran is critical for the region’s socio-economic development.
At the first session of Pakistan-Iran Business Facilitation on Friday, he stated that Iran was a beneficiary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and that Iran has always lent its support to Pakistan to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
“To minimize the cost of doing business, Pakistan can import cheap electricity and gas from Iran,” Nazeri added.
He also encouraged business leaders to investigate the prospects of transit trade between Central Asia and Russia. He provided the required assistance to local businessmen forming joint ventures, establishing firms, and gaining entry to Iran’s free zones.
