Iranian Media Releases Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Picture Moments Before Assassination

Recent reports circulating on social media claim that Iranian state media released a CCTV image of Ali Khamenei taken shortly before his alleged assassination in a US-Israel airstrike on February 28.

However, such claims remain unverified, and there has been no official confirmation of this incident from credible or authoritative sources.

According to the reports, the image shows Khamenei, aged 86, sitting in his office while reciting the Holy Quran.

The posts also state that he had served as the Supreme Leader of Iran for more than 36 years and had previously held the position of president from 1981 to 1989. He is often described as one of the longest-serving heads of state in the region.

Some versions of the claim also mention that Khamenei had survived a previous assassination attempt in 1981, reportedly linked to the Mujahedin-e Khalq group.

The resurfacing of such details alongside the alleged image has raised concerns about misinformation spreading during times of heightened regional tension.
