Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the PM House on Sunday.

The Iranian leader was given a formal guard of honour upon his arrival, showing the respect and importance given to this visit. This meeting is seen as an important step towards building stronger ties between Pakistan and Iran.

As a special sign of friendship and care for the environment, President Pezeshkian planted a sapling in the garden of the PM House in Islamabad. This simple act highlights the commitment of both countries to work for peace and protect nature for future generations.

During this high-level meeting, both leaders are expected to discuss ways to increase cooperation in different areas. Key topics include boosting trade, working together on energy projects, and discussing regional security to bring more stability to the area.

The visit comes at a time when both neighbours are looking for new ways to strengthen their partnership and help each other grow. Leaders from both sides believe that by working closely, they can create better opportunities for their people and tackle shared challenges.

Officials hope that the discussions and friendly gestures during this visit will open the door to more practical projects and deeper ties in the coming months. Many see this as a positive move that could lead to lasting cooperation between Pakistan and Iran, bringing benefits to the whole region.
