Islamabad F-8 Road Collapses After Heavy Rain, Just 45 Days After Construction

Heavy monsoon rain has damaged a new road in Islamabad’s F-8 sector, just 45 days after it was built. Due to cracks and parts of the road sinking, the local authorities have closed this section to fix it quickly and safely.

The rain has also caused problems in other areas. On F-7 Bhittai Road, strong winds and rain made several trees fall down, blocking parts of the street and creating hazards for people and vehicles passing by.

Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi, the situation has become more serious because of the rising water levels in Nullah Lai. The water has reached a dangerous point, and sirens have been sounded to warn people living nearby to be careful.

Because of these weather conditions, the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi has announced an emergency holiday for one day. People are being asked to stay inside their homes and not go out unless they have a very important reason. This is to make sure that everyone stays safe while the authorities work to clear blocked roads, fix damage, and help people affected by the heavy rain.

Teams from different departments are working in the affected areas to clear fallen trees, repair broken roads, and control the floodwater as much as possible. The public has also been requested to cooperate by staying updated through official announcements and avoiding unnecessary travel.

As the rain continues, people are advised to stay alert and take extra care to protect themselves and their families until the weather improves and the situation comes under control.
