Islamabad Police ‘Refuse’ to Provide Security for New Zealand Tour: Sources

Islamabad: According to sources on Saturday, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have “refused” to provide security for the next New Zealand series.

But Earlier Today Islamabad Traffic Police Announced in a Tweet that they will provide full proof and World Class Security to New Zealand Cricket Team during their tour to Pakistan. Since ITP provided the best Security to England Team on their tour before PSL.

According to sources, the police said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had not given them the money or resources they needed to set up protection. The sources continued, “We don’t even have signal jammers and we’re busy doing our particular jobs for the flour distribution centers, census, and Ramadan.

Matches Beginning on April 14 in Lahore, the one-day international (ODI) and T20 international (T20I) series will also contain three games, one ODI and two T20Is, in Rawalpindi. The visiting teams depart to the Pindi Cricket Stadium for games while staying at a hotel in the state’s capital.

After the final match of their T20I series against Sri Lanka on April 9, the visiting team will leave for Pakistan. On the other hand, the police have asked the Ministry of Interior for resources, according to the spokesperson for the Islamabad Police. Upon the allocation of resources, security plans for the visiting cricket team will be made.
