Pakistan’s government has pledged to grow the country’s technology industry. The Special Technology Zones Authority has been tasked with providing legislative and institutional support to promote high-tech investment and business in Pakistan’s technology zones.
The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) has begun the process of establishing Islamabad’s first Special Technology Zone (STZ). The Special Technology Zones Authority’s flagship project will be the Islamabad Special Technology Zone (STZA).
The first Technology Park in the Islamabad STZ will be built soon, according to Mr. Amer Hashmi, Chairman STZA. He further said, “The Islamabad Special Technology Zone covers 150 acres in the Islamabad Capital Territory. The land has been earmarked for the establishment of the Islamabad Special Technology Zone and has been designated and approved by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).”
The state-of-the-art ENGINEERING Technology Park will be part of the Islamabad Special Technology Zone (STZ). With an initial investment of $2 million, the Park will construct a business campus in Islamabad STZ that will include a cluster of midrise energy-efficient buildings totaling over 250,000 sq. ft, creating over 2,500 highly skilled jobs and generating over $100 million over the next five years.
