A 1,200 year old mansion has been discovered by Isra*l archaeologists recently, enlightening knowledge of the southern desert region where a mansion was unveiled recently.
Known as a “luxurious rural estate” by the Isra*l Antiquities Authority, the mansion boasted a marble surfaced hallway and walls decorated with frescoes.
According to the IAA, the first building of its kind to be discover in the southern Negev desert, further it has vaulted rooms around a central courtyard.
The remains of oil lamps were tracked down in the storage rooms underground, with a vat.
The archaeologists said that such luxurious estate and the impressive unique underground vaults are the prove of the owners means.
Further they stated that having such high status and wealth permitted them to build such luxurious mansion that worked as a residence and for entertaining purpose too, added Oren Shmueli, Elena Kogan-Zehavi and Noe D. Michael.
Furthermore Michael told AFP, that as per their assumption it must belonged to some local ruler and such mansion was totally undiscovered of unknown in the Negev until today.
