A moment of proud for the whole Pakistani nation as Chief Justice Musarrat Hilali becomes the first ever woman to be appointed as the Supreme Court Judge from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Musarrat was Chief Justice at Peshawar High Court and is now the first even woman from KP to achieve this milestone.
In a recent meeting lead by Umar Ata Bandial, Chief Justice Pakistan, and Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), took the decision unanimously.  With Musarrat Hilali’s appointment as a Supreme Judge Court, she also becomes the second woman to reach Pakistan’s most prestigious court. The first ever Pakistani woman to reach this stage is Justice Ayesha Malik, both are an inspiration for all the women out there.
Recently Qazi Faez Isa, a senior judge of the Supreme Court emphasized the need to fill a vacant position in the court, suggesting many names including Chief justice of Sindh High Court. Musarrat Hilali was considered to be a perfect appointment for the seat.
