(KMU) has officially opened a new, modern library aimed at improving the academic and research facilities available to its students and faculty. The inauguration ceremony was led by Vice Chancellor along with , Chairman of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee at the . The event was attended by university leadership, including deans, department heads, faculty members, and many students.
The newly launched library has been developed to support modern educational needs and contains more than 6,000 books related to Medical and Allied Health Sciences. The facility includes comfortable seating arrangements, a dedicated reference section, and a peaceful environment designed to help students focus on their studies and research work.
Along with the physical library, the university has also introduced a Digital Library and connected its systems with the . These resources allow students and teachers to access a wide range of online journals, research papers, and educational materials instantly. KMU is also working on establishing an Information Resource Center, which is expected to become operational in the coming months.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr. Wasim Qazi highlighted the importance of strong academic resources in universities. He explained that libraries play a key role in supporting research and learning beyond classroom teaching. He added that even with limited resources, KMU continues to work on improving its academic infrastructure to prepare students for future professional challenges.
Dr. Sarosh Lodhi also emphasized the importance of providing a strong learning environment for students. He noted that educational institutions must focus not only on teaching but also on guiding and developing future generations.
Students attending the event welcomed the new facility and shared that the library will help them access reliable books and research material more easily. Many also appreciated the calm study environment.
