Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to work more closely together to improve trade and economic relations. The two countries will take several important steps, including launching direct flights, making business visas easier to get, and arranging joint business forums for their business communities.
The decision was made during a meeting between Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan. Both leaders highlighted that better air connectivity will play a key role in building stronger economic links. Direct flights are expected to make it easier for businesspeople and investors from both countries to travel, explore opportunities, and expand trade.
Another important step discussed was the simplification of visa procedures for businesspersons. Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced that Kazakh businesspeople will be able to get fast-track visas, helping them save time and effort when visiting Pakistan for trade purposes. He also revealed that the government is considering a plan to introduce five-year multiple-entry visas for members of the Chambers of Commerce, which would make long-term business cooperation much smoother.
Both sides also agreed that stronger cooperation between their Chambers of Commerce would open the door for more investments and partnerships. Joint business forums will provide a platform for entrepreneurs and companies from both countries to meet, exchange ideas, and create new projects.
The meeting reflected the commitment of both Pakistan and Kazakhstan to build a stronger partnership, not just in trade but also in broader economic growth. These new steps are expected to bring the two nations closer together, encourage investment, and open fresh opportunities for their people.?
