The KTP (Karachi traffic police ) forced to advertise again as thousands of vacancies available for officers, drivers, and the minority quota as they haven’t fine personnel on merit yet.
About 3000 policeman who were serving in KTP since 5years on temporary basis are now being transferred to recruitment district, as per DIG (Deputy Inspector General).
One of the major reason as 2,838 posts got empty and need to be filled immediately.
More than 19,000 applications had been received for recruitment for which 5,800 applicants forwarded to preliminary stages of the race, fitness and written test. Whereas, approximately 13,000 applicants got failed.
Further, 3800 more applicants got shortlisted while document scrutiny whereas, the number of candidates would be further reduced once the interview process starts.
Furthermore, 1777 seats of drivers in KTP with LTV license were sought from which only 62 passed.
Similarly, only 46 applicants were available despite following a transparent recruitment process out of 1,284 opportunities available for minorities.
Ahmed Nawaz Cheers, DIG Traffic informed that there are 2 basic problems during recruitment process in the way of fitness of applicants from urban and rural Sindh.
Usually, an applicant from urban areas clears the exam but got fails in fitness target and vice versa for rural area’s candidate.
