Karachi University Announces Entry Test-Based Online Admissions

The University of Karachi has announced that it will conduct entry test-based online admissions for the academic year 2024. These admissions are available for various undergraduate programs, and students can apply for the morning session.

The programs for which admissions are open include BS, B.Ed (Hons), B.E., Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening program), Doctor of Physical Therapy, and the Department of Visual Studies in the morning shift.

Applicants are advised to visit the official website (www.uokadmission.edu.pk) for detailed information on eligibility requirements, the online admission form, prospectus, and admission-related guidelines. The deadline for submitting admission forms with required documents is November 08.

Notably, the University of Karachi has introduced a new four-year BS degree program in Sports Business Management.

Admissions are available for four-year degree programs in various departments, including Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration (BBA), B.E. Chemical Engineering, Commerce, Computer Science (BSCS and BSSE), Criminology, Education, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, International Relations, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Petroleum Technology, Special Education, Sports Business Management, B.Ed (Hons) Teacher Education, and Visual Studies. Additionally, there are admissions for Doctor of Physical Therapy (five-year program) and Doctor of Pharmacy (five-year program) in both morning and evening shifts.

For admission to the four and five-year bachelor programs in the Department of Visual Studies, applicants must have a minimum of 50 marks in their Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent exams.

If they have completed diplomas, they should have at least 60 marks to be eligible for the department’s aptitude test, which is scheduled for November 19. The admission list will be published by December 12.

Candidates applying for the Doctor of Pharmacy program should have at least 60% marks in the pre-medical intermediate examination or equivalent exams.

Students seeking self-finance or reserved seats must pass the entrance test; otherwise, they will not be considered for admission.

The entry test for BS first-year admissions will take place on November 26, and the admission list will be released by December 03. The entry test will be conducted by the Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service.

Admissions for open merit BS programs will be offered starting from December 17.
