Khurram began his professional journey in the gaming and edtech sector with Galxyz, where he served as a Senior Unity Developer. He played a leading role in the creation of Blue Apprentice, an interactive science-based adventure game designed to make learning fun and engaging for students worldwide. The game’s success lies in its ability to blend technology with education, introducing children to scientific principles through interactive storytelling and exploration. Khurram also spearheaded VidMaker, an innovative storytelling platform that empowers students to bring their creative ideas to life through animation. These projects not only showcased his strong command of Unity and C# but also reflected his passion for using technology to inspire curiosity and creativity in young learners.
His transition to enterprise-level software development further demonstrated his technical depth. While at Barclays, Khurram worked within the Identity Verification team, where he rebuilt core systems used to secure digital transactions for millions of users globally. His redesign of the Verification Methods Decision Engine simplified complex code dependencies and boosted system performance, directly improving transaction security. He also built the BIDV Release Portal, a platform that streamlined environment management and deployment visibility across the bank’s digital infrastructure—a tool now used by engineering teams to track releases and configurations efficiently.
Currently, at the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, Khurram’s work continues to make a tangible difference. He has engineered advanced interoperability solutions that enable seamless data exchange between healthcare systems. His development of the Integration Portal transformed system monitoring and reduced issue resolution times by over 70 percent, while his work on automating patient onboarding and clinical data synchronization has significantly improved operational efficiency and patient care.
