Prime Minister Imran Khan praised the renovation of the Khyber Teaching Hospital in a tweet on Saturday.
“After a lot of work, the Khyber Teaching Hospital has been fully renovated and modernized. It is simple to build a new state-of-the-art hospital; however, repairing our current government hospitals is extremely difficult.” PM Khan made the announcement on his official Twitter account.
The premier also praised the efforts of the KTH Board of Directors and management.
After an investigation report found them deficient in performing their duties, which resulted in the deaths of six Covid-19 patients due to a lack of oxygen supply, seven KTH officials, including the medical facility’s chief, were suspended in December.
