Kia Lucky Motors Corporation (KLMC) has been notified of a massive increase in their car prices in Pakistan as the Pakistani rupee (PKR) falls to an all-time low against the US dollar.
According to the details, the company has increased the price of the Kia Picanto, Kia Sportage, Kia Stonic, Kia Sorento, and Kia Carnival in Pakistan by up to Rs. 1.3 million, varying from model to model. The new rates will go into effect on January 31, 2023.
Last week, KLMC shut down bookings for its entire lineup. The ongoing economic situation has thrown all certainty out the window, creating a state of panic in the industry and among the people. It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistani rupee has fallen to an all-time record low of Rs. 269.63 against the US dollar at the closing of the interbank market on January 30, 2023.
