The Global Korea Scholarship 2024, formerly known as the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP), is an initiative by the Korean government to support international students pursuing higher education in Korea. It aims to strengthen international education exchange and foster connections between Korea and participating countries.
Scholarship Details
Degree Programs
–Master’s Degree: Consists of three years, including one year of Korean language program and two years of degree program.
- PhD Programs: Total duration of four years, with one year of Korean language program and three years of degree program.
-Research Programs: Offered for six months or one year.
Awards
-Number of Awards: 2,200 in total, with 800 for embassy track and 1,400 for university track.
- Financial Coverage: Fully funded, covering tuition fees, allowances, insurance, airfare, language courses, and more.
Eligibility Criteria
–Nationality: Applicants must be from participating countries.
–Citizenship: Should not hold dual citizenship or Korean citizenship.
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree for Master’s program, and Master’s degree for PhD program.
- Age Limit: Under 40 years old.
- Health: Must be in good mental and physical health.
- Language Requirements: English proficiency required.
