Korean Universities Announce Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Korean universities have launched a new scholarship program for Pakistani students, focusing on skill-based diploma courses. As part of a recent agreement with the Punjab government, South Korea’s top-ranked institutions will now offer fully funded two-year technical diplomas to students from Punjab.

This opportunity allows students to study in Korea under a foreign scholarship, with courses designed to meet global industry needs. The available programs include welding, electrical work, automobile engineering, software development, as well as fields like food technology, beauty and social services.

The scholarship aims to build practical skills among Pakistani youth, preparing them for careers both locally and internationally. One of the key features of the initiative is its support for female education.

As part of the agreement, 20 female students from Lahore College for Women University and Home Economics University will be fully sponsored. Their tuition, accommodation and other expenses will be covered, making this a valuable opportunity for students who may not otherwise be able to afford overseas education.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed the development, calling it a step forward in connecting local talent with global education systems. He emphasized that such partnerships will play a major role in uplifting technical education in Pakistan.

The program is expected to start soon and may expand in the future, offering more students the chance to gain international experience and job-ready skills through one of Asia’s most advanced education systems.
