A barrier which is effecting girls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to chase their education each year is the Long distances between homes and schools and less of affordable transport facilities.
Chief Minister KP, Mehmood Khan has approved free of cost transport facility for female students in all school sectors to promote literacy between girls.
Using funds from PTC ( Parent Teacher Council) to apply this initiative in primary and secondary education department as a pilot project in remote areas of the province.
During a meeting of the Education Ministry, CM approved the setting up of a Centralized Education Board, attended by top officials from Education, Law Finance and Planning Ministries.
90 days of timeline has been alloted to the working group tasked with presenting it’s recommendations, notified by the CM during the meeting.
Moreover, ESED has been instructed to procure water cooler, fire extinguishers and sport equipment for school from PTC funds by CM. He also instructed to have a mechanism to provide free wheelchairs for differently abled students.
