KP Launches Pakistan’s First Digital Identity System ‘Khyber Pass’

KP has taken a big step towards digital governance by launching the ‘Khyber Pass’ digital identity system, which is the first of its kind in Pakistan. This new system was officially launched by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and is designed to make government services easier and faster for people to access.

The ‘Khyber Pass’ digital ID uses a single QR code that gives citizens access to different services through one platform. With this system, people will be able to manage healthcare, education, property records, taxes, and licensing without needing to stand in long lines or handle lots of paperwork.

This move is part of the KP government’s plan to modernize public services and make them more efficient. Officials believe that this system will help reduce corruption, cut down on delays, and ensure that people get the services they need without unnecessary hassle.

By connecting all services to one digital identity, the government also hopes to build trust between the people and state institutions. The single QR code will make it simple for people to check or update their records, apply for permits, and track their applications from their phones or computers.

The launch of the ‘Khyber Pass’ digital ID shows that KP wants to set an example for other provinces in Pakistan. The government plans to expand this system in the coming months so more people can benefit. This is a big step towards better, faster, and smarter public service delivery for everyone in KP.
