Anwarzeb Khan, Minister for Zakat and Usher in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, launched the “Mustahiq” mobile app on Tuesday to increase transparency and efficiency in the distribution of zakat funds in the province.
Speaking at the occasion, he said that the general public would be able to obtain comprehensive information about the Zakat and Usher Department’s services and activities through this app.
He also mentioned that the app will include comprehensive information on treatment facilities under the Zakat head, as well as associated health institutions and officials, as well as addresses. He stated that the app will include all required information in Urdu, Pashto, and English to make it easier for the general public.
The app also includes the addresses and phone numbers of the chairmen of the Zakat Committees of all district Zakat offices.
According to the Minister, the app is also connected to the Citizen Portal, allowing any citizen to conveniently submit a reservation or complaint via the app.
