According to Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev, Kyrgyzstan is interested in transit trade through Pakistan and wants to utilize Karachi’s seaports.
He recently addressed the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inviting Pakistani companies to engage in Kyrgyzstan’s tourism and energy sectors.
“Kyrgyzstan is well-known for its tourism industry, and 90 percent of the country is mountainous,” he explained.
“Investors from Islamabad should come out and make investments in Kyrgyzstan’s hotels and resorts,” he added.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan’s energy sector has a lot of potential, and Pakistani firms can also look into small hydel power projects there.
