The most polluted city on AQI (Air Quality Index) are Lahore and Karachi are ranked on first and second respectively.
Pakistan’s biggest cities have got the suspicious distinction of escalating to first and second on the list of most polluted cities of the world on the air pollution measurement scale.
Lahore have been measured with 187 hazardous particulate matter and Karachi with 179 particular matter.
As per AQI scale 151-200 is reckoned as unhealthy, whereas according to AQI scale between 201 to 300 is more harmful while over 300 it is considered as extremely perilous.
The air become more heavier in winters comparing to summers, causing poisonous particles in the atmosphere to move downward, as per experts.
However, as a result a layer of polluted particles which includes huge percent of carbon and smoke that covers a city.
