The Lahore High Court has granted bail to Chaudhry Sarfraz, a former additional director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, in connection with a bribery case and ordered his release from custody.
According to court officials, Sarfraz had been accused of accepting a bribe from the wife of well-known Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai. The case was registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which had initiated an investigation into the alleged incident.
After a special court earlier rejected his bail request, the accused approached the Lahore High Court through his legal counsel seeking relief. The petition was heard by Justice Abher Gul Khan, who considered the arguments presented by both the defense and the prosecution.
Following the hearing, the court approved the bail petition and directed the authorities to release the former official in accordance with the law. The case remains under legal proceedings as investigations and further hearings are expected to continue.
