Lamborghini Makes History by Offering 4-Day Workweek to its Production Workers Without Cutting Pay

Lamborghini has reached an unprecedented agreement with its unions to implement a four-day workweek for car production workers.

This deal, considered “historical,” marks the first of its kind in the European auto industry, reducing working hours without a wage cut. Instead, it includes a salary increase and a one-time bonus of $1,082 in the next month.

The new workweek will lead to production workers working up to 31 fewer days a year.

While Lamborghini joins other European companies adopting the shortened workweek, major auto industry players like Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis have not yet approved similar measures.

The move towards a four-day workweek is aimed at promoting better work-life balance and has shown positive impacts in various industries, including increased productivity and improved job retention.
