Learn from Babar Azam: Nasser Hussain’s Advice to India Top Order Batsmen

Former England captain Nasser Hussain expressed his disappointment with the Indian top-order batsmen during a commentary. He suggested that they could learn from Pakistan’s Babar Azam and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson on how to handle swing and seam bowling.

Hussain stated that Indian fans might criticize him for saying this, but he believes the Indian top order should observe Babar and Kane to understand how to handle fast bowlers when the ball is moving around. He praised Babar and Kane for their exceptional skills in playing such deliveries at a late stage.

In the World Test Championship final at The Oval, India suffered a significant defeat against Australia, losing by 209 runs. Australian bowler Scott Boland impressed with his spell, dismissing both Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja in the same over, sealing India’s fate. India was eventually bowled out for 234 runs in their second innings on the final day.

Australia demonstrated their superiority across all aspects of the game, while India had only themselves to blame for another loss in a global event. India’s last ICC title came in 2013, and this was their second consecutive defeat in the WTC final, having previously lost to New Zealand two years ago.

On the final day of the match, India lost seven wickets for the addition of 70 runs. With this victory, Australia became the first team to win all ICC titles, including multiple ODI World Cups in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015. They also claimed consecutive ICC Champions Trophy titles in 2006 and 2009.
