LG Electronics Inc. of South Korea is set to back-off its mobile division that is in loss after failing to find their buyers for smartphones; it is a move that is set by the brand to make it as the first major brand of smartphone to completely quit or withdraw from market.
This decision will leave 10% share in the North America where this brand is on Number 3. However, it is followed up by the Apple Inc. as well as the Samsung Electronics where these domestic rivals are expected to capture the market by getting a competitive edge.
Moreover, the analyst of Hi Investment & Securities said that in US, LG has only targeted the mid-priced but it does not have extremely low priced models where Samsung has taken the lead by offering mid-priced as well as a wide price range of smartphones models. Product line of Apple is quite expensive but; however; the users of LG are expected to be attracted by Samsung more.
