Local Media Outlet Deleted Twitter Poll On General Election in Hours for Unspecified Reasons

As anticipation builds for the upcoming general elections in 2023, a now-deleted Twitter poll has provided an intriguing glimpse into the potential outcome. The poll, which surveyed social media users, indicated a significant lead for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, with 95% of respondents favoring their victory.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) received 2% support, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) garnered 3% of the votes. The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) party received no significant support, according to the poll.

Although it’s important to note that online polls may not fully reflect the sentiments of the entire population, the results do indicate a strong wave of support for the PTI party. This level of backing could potentially have a considerable impact on the upcoming elections and shape the political landscape of Pakistan.

The PTI, led by Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been in power since the previous general elections held in 2018. The party’s focus on anti-corruption measures, social welfare programs, and economic reforms has garnered both praise and criticism over the years. With the poll results suggesting a significant lead for PTI, it appears that a considerable number of Twitter users, at least, are satisfied with the party’s performance and vision.

The PPP and PML-N, two major political parties with a long-standing presence in Pakistan’s political landscape, received relatively lower support in the poll. The 2% support for PPP and 3% support for PML-N indicate that some Twitter users still see potential in these parties, despite their current standing in the poll.

The absence of significant support for the TLP in the poll may reflect the particular context surrounding the party, as it has faced legal challenges and controversies in recent times.
