LPG Prices Increase Upto Rs. 5000 Per 11 Kg Cylinder Amid LPG Shortages

As of late March 2026, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices across Pakistan have witnessed a significant and sudden increase, placing additional financial strain on households and businesses alike. The price of a standard 11.67 kg LPG cylinder has surged to a range of approximately Rs 3,900 to over Rs 5,100, marking a notable rise from earlier levels that ranged between Rs 3,150 and Rs 3,968. This sharp escalation has made LPG increasingly unaffordable for many consumers who rely on it for daily cooking and heating needs.

The price hike is being attributed to a combination of factors, including supply shortages within the domestic market, heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affecting global energy flows, and panic-driven hoarding by segments of the supply chain. These elements have collectively disrupted market stability, creating artificial scarcity and driving prices upward. As a result, consumers across the country are facing increased economic pressure, adding to the broader challenges posed by inflation and rising fuel costs.
