Luxury Yacht Worth Nearly $1 Million Sinks Minutes after it’s First Launch

A luxury yacht launch in Türkiye turned into a disaster when the newly built Dolce Vento, worth around $1 million, capsized just minutes after entering the Black Sea from Zonguldak port.

The 85-foot yacht had only recently arrived from Istanbul and was making its first launch. However, within 15 minutes of touching the water, the vessel began to tilt dangerously.

Panic spread quickly as passengers onboard realized the yacht was sinking. Many were forced to jump into the sea to save themselves.

Eyewitness videos captured the frightening scene, showing people scrambling for safety as the yacht filled with water and started leaning heavily to one side.

The Turkish Coast Guard, along with port authorities, responded immediately to the emergency. Rescue teams rushed to the spot, safely evacuating all passengers and ensuring that no lives were lost. Once the people were rescued, the teams worked to secure the area around the sinking vessel to avoid further risks.

The Dolce Vento was expected to be a symbol of luxury and style, but its debut ended in chaos and disappointment. The incident has raised serious questions about the safety and inspection of newly built yachts.

According to local media, the shipyard responsible for its construction has already begun an investigation to find out what went wrong during the launch.

For now, the exact cause of the accident remains unknown, but maritime experts believe it could be linked to technical faults or stability issues. The findings of the investigation are expected to bring more clarity in the coming days.
