Mahoor Shahzad Becomes 6th Consecutive Time National Badminton Champion Despite Injury

Famous Pakistani badminton player, Mahoor Shahzad has recently become the National Badminton Champion of Pakistan for the SIXTH (6th) consecutive time, despite not having completely recovered from the hamstring injury that she suffered in 2021.

Further, she has not only won singles, but she has also been TRIPLE CROWNED by winning the Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and the TEAM event.

On her facebook handle, she extended her appreciation and gratitude to all of her supporters for their love, prayers and support. Moreover, she also congratulated the DHA Lahore for conducting such a magnificent event for the first time in the history of Pakistan Badminton.

The National Badminton Championship took place from 01-06 March in Lahore at the Captain Fasih Babar Amin (Shaheed) Sports Complex.

Around 300 athletes, including both men and women, belonging to different parts of the country participated in the event.

Earlier, the 25-year-old won the semifinal and the final in the last year’s event with a score of 21-6, 21-13, and 21-6, 21-7, respectively.
