Malaysian Technical Cooperation Offering Scholarship Funded by the Malaysian Government

The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program is now accepting applications for the MTCP Scholarship 2024. This initiative, funded by the Malaysian government, aims to support the development of Malaysia by offering educational opportunities to individuals from developing countries.

Scholarship Overview

The MTCP Scholarship provides financial support for applicants pursuing a Master’s degree at Malaysian public and private universities. This program is designed to impart valuable knowledge and skills that will aid in the development of Malaysia. Notably, the scholarship does not require applicants to have an IELTS score.

Applications for the MTCP Scholarship can now be submitted through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program website, a shift from its previous listing on the Ministry of Higher Education website alongside the Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS).

Duration

The MTCP Scholarship covers a period of 24 to 36 months, depending on the specific Master’s degree program.

Recipients of the MTCP Scholarship will enjoy several financial benefits, including:

  • A stipend that is double the amount offered by the MIS Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the MTCP Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of an MTCP recipient country
  • Be under 45 years of age at the time of application
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 60 or above. Alternatively, if their previous degree was taught in English, they can submit proof of English proficiency.
