Malaysia’s Airline, ‘AirAsia X’ Starts First Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Karachi

Malaysia’s low-cost airline, AirAsia X, has officially started its operations in Pakistan by launching its first flight from Kuala Lumpur to Karachi. The inaugural flight landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport late Friday night, where it was welcomed with a traditional water salute, marking the beginning of a new travel route between the two countries.

This new service will operate four times a week and is expected to make air travel more affordable for passengers. It is also seen as an effort to encourage tourism, build stronger cultural connections, and improve trade relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.

AirAsia X has announced its plans to expand further by starting flights to other major cities in Pakistan, including Lahore and Islamabad, in the near future.

Travel and aviation experts have welcomed this move, saying it opens a fresh chapter for Pakistan’s aviation industry. They believe it will provide more options for travelers, help strengthen Pakistan’s ties with Southeast Asia, and create new opportunities for growth in the international travel sector.
