A young man was seriously injured while trying to film a TikTok video with a caged lion at a breeding farm in Lahore. The incident took place at the Mian Umar Dola breeding facility, located in the Sabzazar area, when the lion suddenly attacked the man. The attack left him with significant injuries to his face, shoulder, and arm. He was quickly taken to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, the Director-General of Punjab Wildlife took immediate action by revoking the breeding farm’s license. Legal steps are being taken against the owner of the farm as well. This attack comes at a time when the Punjab government has recently approved new amendments aimed at protecting big cats and ensuring the conservation of wildlife.
The Punjab Wildlife Department is now focusing on strict measures to ensure the safety of both animals and people.
