A massive surge in the dollar value against the rupee has been observed for the eighth consecutive day. The currency gained 60 paisas, strengthening by Rs. 1.8 in the interbank market today, 25th July 2023, closing at Rs. 288.52.
Over the last 8 days, the American currency has soared by Rs. 12.50 against the rupee in the interbank market. While the rate of the dollar in the Open market rose by Rs. 1 and was traded at Rs. 294, as revealed by the currency dealers.
The Pakistani currency on Monday, fell further against the dollar despite receiving funds from IMF and other countries. As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the value of the dollar soared by Rs. 1.1 on 24th July 2023, settling at Rs. 287.92. while the closing rate on Friday was Rs. 286.81, declining by 0.39% against the dollar.
