The global petroleum market has seen a $12 decrease in the price of petrol, bringing it to $102 per barrel, while diesel has dropped by $9 to $117 per barrel.
As a result of this global price reduction, local petrol prices are expected to decrease by 38 Pakistani Rupees per liter, and diesel prices are expected to decrease by 18 Pakistani Rupees per liter. However, there is also the possibility of continuous fluctuations in the Rupee’s value affecting petroleum product prices. A final decision in this regard will be made on October 15.
It’s worth noting that the government had previously reduced petrol prices by 8 Pakistani Rupees on September 30, bringing the new price to 323.38 Rupees, and high-speed diesel also became cheaper, now available at 318.18 Rupees per liter.
