Matric and Inter Exams in Sindh now will be Conducted by Private Institutions

In response to concerns about irregularities in board examinations and results across the state, the Sindh government has approved the outsourcing of matric and intermediate boards, sources said on Friday.

In this regard, the heads of all the province’s matriculation and intermediate education boards have received a letter from the Department of Boards and Universities.

According to the letter, the system strives to be fair and transparent while also battling corruption.

The system was given the go-ahead by provincial minister Ismail Rahu, who acted as the regulating authority. Afterwards, measures were taken to contract out the evaluation process to all board chairmen.

“Due to several complaints about maladministration and corrupt practises in conducting the examinations and compiling the results of SSC and HSC, Minister for Universities and Boards Department Ismail Rahoo, in his capacity as controlling authority, has granted approval to the outsourcing of the examination system for the forthcoming annual examination in 2023 by all boards in a phased manner,” the letter read.
