A distressing incident occurred at a private hospital in Abbottabad where a surgeon mistakenly operated on a patient’s eye instead of her arm, which was the intended surgery. The doctor acknowledged that the mistake happened due to a mix-up in the patient’s documents.
Hospital officials appreciated the surgeon for his honesty, highlighting that he could have hidden the error but chose to admit it.
As a consequence, the authorities have decided to temporarily shut down the hospital. The patient, an elderly woman, had sought treatment for her fractured arm and was initially scheduled for surgery on Saturday.
