Anita Jalil Baloch, who belongs to a conservative society, has fought all odds to pursue the interest to become a vlogger, which she has felt very strongly for.
Anita became the first vlogger of Balochistan, at a young age of 20 by using her vlogs as a forum to highlight societal and everyday problems of women in Balochistan giving a voice to the unheard.
Anita said that her journey was not that easy, “It took me a very long time to convince my parents. I also do theatre programs here. I have tried to inspire other women to come in this field.” Anita further added, “Vlogging was a very old interest of mine. When I lived outside of Pakistan few years ago, I developed interest in vlogging.”
Currently, Anita has over 20,000 followers on her YouTube channel.
For girls in Balochistan, Anita is a source of motivation. She says that there are many girls who are motivated by my videos and they believe they are gaining confidence to fulfil their dreams as well. “These girls only need a ‘push’, and once they have that, there is nothing that can stop them!”
