In recent years, the startup ecosystem in Pakistan has witnessed a colossal boom with a plethora of tech companies paving paths for innovative disruptions in the industry. One such disruptive startup is the Marketing and Technology (MarTech) agency ‘Oztech’, comprising a band of brainy men that are determined to push boundaries and break traditions in advertising patterns across the country.
Two years since its inception, the agency has harnessed the power of technology and aims to bring innovation and replace two-dimensional, traditional signs. They also aim to establish the narrative that gone are the days when advertising just revolved around erecting old-school, static billboards or doing T.V or radio promotions. It’s time now to merge the physical and digital world with ‘phygital’ communication.
While this dramatic transformation has already taken the global marketing industry by storm, Oztech has hopped on the bandwagon to create more immersive and impactful outdoor campaigns in Pakistan. The Martech agency aims to revolutionize Out-of-Home, Activation & Retail Marketing by merging the digital and physical world.
Last month, Oztech made all the right noise in Lahore with a massive 3D hologram campaign that held the skies of the bustling city as a spectacle. The dazzling projection aimed to celebrate the launch of foodpanda’s ‘pandamart’ and created a massive buzz across the country’s advertising sphere. The activation created a unique and interactive experience for the passersby as it enticed them to avail themselves a discount of 20% on delivery via pandamart.
The first execution was conducted 30 feet high in the heart of the city at ‘Liberty Chowk’- the attractive spot becoming the talk-of-the-town, as it was smartly utilized for an outdoor projection so massive for the first time in 40 years.
Equally attention-grabbing was the hologram activation at MM Alam Road, hovering at the top of the building and giving the illusion of a bat-signal-like 3D image, alerting the city about pandamart’s arrival.
In a country where hologram marketing is still in its nascent stage, the campaign broke the internet, grabbed eyeballs, and generated massive talk ability about how this out-of-the-box innovation is all set to be the next big thing in Pakistan
In a conversation with Startup Pakistan, Oztech’s CEO Usman Siddiqui was all praises for foodpanda’s team and their collaborative efforts to make the campaign a success!
“In today’s age of information overload, when it’s easily believable that we have seen everything, technology’s ability to uplift emotions is invaluable, this is when we know we have done our job. Co-creating this experience with foodpanda’s team was a delight. It is a rarity to find a team so involved, forward-thinking & encouraged to be bold and do something transformative.
In the end, our win is in seeing the audience experience the technology live; awestruck, mesmerized, and overwhelmed by what they see”
Last year, Oztech executed a star campaign with its showstopper high-end projection bombing for Coca-Cola’s #KarachiIsLove campaign. It was beautifully implemented in various locations of the city, creating a dazzling display of light, technology, and color.
But there is a lot more that Oztech is set to do! Their portfolio of services includes live AR/VR, Experiential Marketing, Mixed Reality Storytelling, Interactive Technology Designs and understanding brand strategy while infusing technology to create meaningful experiences.
The startup is using technology-driven, hyper-targeted approaches to make the most unimaginable ideas come true for brands.
