Mickey Arthur’s appointment as the team’s director was today officially announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Arthur’s responsibilities in this position include developing, implementing, and supervising the tactics used by the Pakistan men’s squad.
The 54-year-old will also serve as a member of the coaching staff for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, as well as for the home series against the West Indies and the away tour to Australia. In addition, he will be there with the team when Pakistan plays India in the ACC Asia Cup.
From 2016 to 2019, Arthur led Pakistan to the No. 1 spot in Tests and Twenty20 Internationals. He also assisted the team in winning the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
