The import of mobile phones into the country increased by 18.32 percent during the first five months of the current fiscal year (2021-22) as compared to the same period previous year.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $856.727 million from July to November (2021-22) compared to $724.083 million from July to November (2020-21), representing an 18.32 percent increase (PBS).
The import of mobile phones increased by 27.65% year on year in November 2021 when compared to the same month previous year. Mobile imports totaled $212.055 million in November 2021, up to $166.121 million in November 2020.
