Monis Elahi, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the son of Pervez Elahi, a former chief minister, has commented on his incarceration.
The series of round-ups began in January, and Munis Elahi, who is currently in London, tweeted that “even if I’m arrested, we have to support Imran Khan.”
Munis Elahi continued, “My father and mother repeated the same thing three days ago, and now it is being reported that the police have detained my father on fabricated allegations. God willing, we are in PTI and we will stay there.
It should be mentioned that today Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was detained by anti-corruption police in Lahore, close to his home.
The sources claim that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was driving when the police pulled over the car and detained him.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been the target of several anti-corruption prosecutions. In these instances, Pervez Elahi is accused of accepting kickbacks from development initiatives.
